LeBron James knows he can get people’s attention in subtle ways, even if he does something small without explanation.
That’s just what he did last week when he posted a meme on his Instagram page of a clutch-fisted cartoon character named Arthur. The post was made soon after Kyrie Irving and the Celtics had won a hotly-contested game against the Atlanta Hawks. He also wrote the caption “mood” under the meme which caused a stir on social media as to what it may have meant.
After countless theories of what the post meant, the Cleveland Cavaliers star reposted it with a collage of other fist clenching photos of himself along with Arthur, claiming he’s a fan of the character with a hashtag of strive for greatness.
One week later, the Cavs find themselves down big to the New York Knicks heading into the fourth quarter before but were able to mount a huge comeback from a 23-point deficit and leaving the Big Apple on a high note thanks to James and Kyle Korver’s heroics.
After the win, Cavs guard Isaiah Thomas posted his own ‘mood’ meme of the character Arthur because his team had finally pulled together on both ends of the floor to resemble the team they should be.

The 28-year-old is looking to return soon but needs to work on his conditioning. The Cavs have a return date of Jan. 1 in hopes of seeing their backcourt stocked with healthy players.
