Cavs’ Jarrett Allen has heartwarming throwback moment with wife at wedding

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen will be extra inspired to play in the upcoming season after he and his longtime girlfriend, Jordyn January, tied the knot on Sunday. Their wedding was attended by the people closest to them, including Allen’s current and former teammates.

Allen and January have largely kept their relationship private, although the Cavaliers star shares pictures of them together from time to time.

The newly married couple, however, weren’t shy at all during the reception as they performed a surprise number for the guests by dancing to the tune of “We’re All in This Together” from the movie “High School Musical.”

The cute moment was shared by Allen’s former teammate, Chicago Bulls forward Isaac Okoro, on his Instagram Story.

Can someone please make Allen do it again for a halftime performance at Rocket Arena?

While Allen can punish opponents with his length and athleticism, he’s also known as one of the most affable guys in the NBA. Dancing with his wife to a popular song from their younger days is further proof of that.

Just for perspective, the Cavaliers big man was only eight years old when “High School Musical” came out in 2006. For the Gen Zs reading this, just Google it. Or whatever digital platform you’re into these days.

Allen and January got engaged in 2023, with the one-time All-Star proposing at a beach. He went down on one knee and popped the question. He shared the special day on his Instagram.

“She’s mine. Find your own,” read the caption.

According to a report from Essentially Sports’ Ashmit Kumar, Allen and January started dating in 2016. At that time, Allen was still playing for Texas, while January was looking to pursue a nursing degree at Concordia University.

Last season, Allen helped the Cavaliers to the best record in the Eastern Conference at 64-18. They, however, lost to the Indiana Pacers in the conference semifinals in the playoffs.
