The season of major recognition for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ title will not be ending soon. In fact, we’re not even sure when it will end.

As the Cavs cherish every moment of post-championship relaxation prior to training camp, the round of appreciation will continue to pour. As part of tradition, the team’s future visit to the White House is expected to be the final big tribute to their historic run. However, the date of that momentous event is yet to be determined.
But according to a tweet from Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck, coach Tyronn Lue will be aggressive in booking a trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. before President Barack Obama steps down from his post.
Ty Lue says "we definitely will" visit the White House before Obama leaves office. Either regular season or preseason, if necessary.

It has been common practice for champion american teams to pay a visit to the White House. The first NBA team to do so was the Boston Celtics in 1963, welcomed by then president John F. Kennedy.

For the Cavaliers, given the hectic travel schedule demanded by the regular season, the easiest opportunity for their visit will be when they step on the Washington Wizards’ home floor. If the NBA decides to make the team’s trip to the nation’s capital after January 20, President Obama’s last day at the White House, expect Lue to move mountains in order for the team to make it while Obama is still the incumbent POTUS.
