The Cleveland Cavaliers are entering the 2016 NBA Playoffs as the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference. However, a Golden State Warriors team that just went 73-9 comes in the overall favorite to win the 2016 NBA Championship, according to the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.

The Warriors start out at 5-7 favorites to win it all with the Cavs trailing right behind them at 3-1. At the start of the season, the Cavs started out as 2-1 favorites to win the 2016 NBA Championship with the Warriors right behind them at 4-1, but that completely changed as the Warriors went on their historic run, as David Purdum of ESPN points out.

The Cavs will look to defy the odds this season, trying to likely beat a team four times when they only lost nine times in the regular season and never lost back-to-back games. However, this new Cavaliers’ squad could very well figure it out, just like they did last year when they were shorthanded and were two wins away from an NBA Championship.
