The Cleveland Cavaliers will once again take center stage on national television throughout the 2025-26 NBA season, reflecting their growing presence in the league following a 64-18 record last season.
Cleveland is slated for 24 nationally televised games across ESPN/ESPN App, NBC/Peacock, Amazon Prime Video, and ABC. The season opens on Wednesday, October 22, with a road game at the New York Knicks at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN, followed by a trip to Brooklyn on October 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The home opener at Rocket Arena is Sunday, October 26, against the Milwaukee Bucks at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Over the 82-game regular season, the Cavaliers will host 20 weekend home games, including seven Fridays, four Saturdays, and nine Sundays. The team’s schedule also includes 14 sets of back-to-back games, a six-game homestand from November 13-23, and a five-game road stretch from January 30-February 9.
The Cavaliers will be featured frequently on national TV during the 2025-26 season (via Sean Grande), giving fans plenty of chances to catch them in action. ESPN and the ESPN App will broadcast seven games, including trips to New York on October 22 and Boston on October 29, a visit to Philadelphia on January 14, and matchups at Charlotte on January 21, versus the Los Angeles Lakers on January 28, at Detroit on February 27, and at Orlando on March 11.
Moreover, NBC and Peacock will showcase five games, including the December 29 clash at San Antonio, the MLK Day game against Oklahoma City on January 19, February 24 versus New York, March 17 at Milwaukee, and March 24 against Orlando. Peacock Exclusive will stream five additional games, including matchups at Detroit on October 27, versus Milwaukee on November 17, at Toronto on November 24, versus Charlotte on December 22, and versus Orlando on January 26.
Amazon Prime Video will carry four Cavs games, including November 21 against Indiana, January 10 versus Minnesota, April 2 at Golden State, and April 10 at Atlanta. ABC and the ESPN App will broadcast three of the team’s biggest games, highlighted by the Christmas Day showdown at New York on December 25, which will also air on ESPN Radio. The other two are February 22 at Oklahoma City and March 8 versus Boston.
Cleveland will take the court in spotlight holiday games, including Christmas Day at New York, the team’s first appearance there since 2017, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day against Oklahoma City at home.
Other notable home games include visits from the Boston Celtics (Nov. 30, March 8), Indiana Pacers (Nov. 21, April 5), and defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder (Jan. 19), while road highlights feature matchups against the Knicks, Lakers (Jan. 28), and the Golden State Warriors (April 2).
The Cavaliers will also compete in the Emirates NBA Cup 2025, with four group play games, including two at Rocket Arena, and the potential to advance to single-elimination knockout rounds in December.
Nine of Cleveland’s national games are Peacock or Amazon exclusives, showcasing the league’s new 11-year, $75 billion media rights deals with Disney, NBC, and Amazon, ensuring the team remains a major national attraction across multiple platforms.
