Sam Amico And Chris Broussard have now reported that Thompson is WILLING to sign that 3-year, $53 million deal. Not that he has signed it. Thompson has lowered his demands from 3-year, $53 million to 5-year, $94 million.

Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal is now reporting that Broussard’s report on Thompson’s contract is inaccurate.

Chris Broussard has reported that the Cavs have agreed to a new deal with Tristan thompson.
NBA SOURCES CONFIRM AGENT RICH PAUL WILL HAVE TRISTAN THOMPSON SIGN A 3 YEAR – $53 MILLION CONTRACT WITH CAVS.

The money is reportedly guaranteed for the entire duration of the contract.
Thompson is set to earn a little to the north of $17 million over the next three years which is an excellent annual salary midpoint between the Cavaliers’ offer of $16 million and Rich Paul’s close to $19 million.
