Over a month ago, LeBron James lauded himself for having a high basketball IQ. Easily, that statement may have come across as arrogant to some people, but that’s the truth. James is one of the smartest players in the game.

Apparently, that wisdom isn’t limited to the hardcourt. The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar recently dropped one cryptic message after another on Twitter, picking the brains of millions all over the world. Being LeBron James, a lot has been made of his statements. But in Joe Vardon’s recent article for Cleveland.com, James revealed the simple truth behind his tweets.
“If you have an educated mind, they hit home for you. Last night I tweeted that consistency and structure breeds perfection and if you take a shortcut, or if you don’t handle business then you come up short. I think everybody should understand that.”
“It’s nothing between the lines, it’s just, life. You can’t shortcut being perfect or trying to be as perfect as you can, or trying to get to a point where you just feel like you can succeed.”
“It’s just my mind working, that’s all. I don’t know if anything started it. Just my mind working. I got a beautiful mind and I want to use it sometimes in a social manner.”
While it’s hard to argue the fact that these are all applicable to one’s everyday dealings, it is also difficult to not relate his tweets to what’s going on within the Cavaliers’ locker room.
LeBron James. NBA player. Businessman. Life coach? It’s all up to you to decide.
