When it come to accolades, it seems there aren’t many left for LeBron James to attain. Over the course of his illustrious 14-year career, “The King,” as James is justly known, has been awarded 13 NBA All-Star nods (two All-Star MVP awards), 10 NBA First Team selections, and four league MVP awards. Oh, and he’s won three NBA championships — two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James’ list of awards goes on and on, and rightfully so, but let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. On Thursday night, the Cavs kicked off a three-game road trip in Detroit with a matchup against the Pistons, resulting in a disappointing 106-101 loss. Despite the loss, there was still a bit of good news to report.
James, who racked up a new regular season-high 8th triple-double in Thursday’s loss with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in 39 minutes, became just the 7th player in NBA history to record at least 50 career triple-doubles.

Some analysts speculate on whether or not James is slowing down as he gets older. Often times, as he did on Thursday night inside The Palace of Auburn Hills, James shows everyone why he is still considered the greatest basketball player in the world.
