Now that they’ve swept the Indiana Pacers in their first-round matchup of this year’s NBA Playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves with a week off.
Earlier today, Cavs superstar small forward LeBron James took to social media to show his respect for the Pacers and their star Paul George, who James says “pushed us every game.” The King also sent a shout-out to the Pacers organization and their great fans.
Later in his message, James took a more serious tone. As most NBA fans know, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has been ruled “out indefinitely” due to complications from a 2015 back surgery. He dealt with the issue for the beginning of last season as assistant coach Luke Walton took over the helm, and returned on January. In the last couple of days, however, the issue has resurfaced, and Kerr will be unable to coach for now.
Until Kerr and his doctors find a permanent solution that allows him to coach and manage his pain, it looks like he’ll remain out of commission. That could even mean throughout the entire postseason.
James took a moment near the end of his Uninterrupted video to send Kerr a few get-well wishes.
