We’re now three days into the holding out of Tristan Thompson. He is technically not a member of the Cavaliers and is a restricted free agent. On Monday’s media Day, LeBron James as well as David Griffin talked about Thompson’s contract stalemate and both were optimistic that a deal would get done.
After that, James vowed not to talk about the Thompson situation any longer as it would just serve as a distraction for the players during training camp.

Late Saturday night, James took to Instagram to show his support for Thompson.
This post comes after the Cavs made some bold moves to show that they’re moving on from Tristan Thompson early Saturday.
Could this be the necessary and final push both sides needed to get a deal done and get Thompson back to practice with the rest of his squad in pursuit of a championship? It certainly helps, but it’s hard to be sure right now.
