The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday afternoon, but their stars did absolute work on the court.

Without their second leading scorer in Kyrie Irving, the Cavs started Matthew Dellavedova in Irving’s place and ran the point. LeBron James, Kevin Love, and J.R. Smith ended up carrying much of the scoring load. So much, actually, that they did something that hadn’t been done in almost 30 years for the franchise. The trio totaled 83 out of the 112 points, which was a little over 74% of the points. The last time that was done was by Brad Daugherty, Ron Harper, and the late John “Hot Rod” Williams.

The Cavs number of games to clinch the number one overall seed is three, with just five games left before the postseason.
