LeBron James was J.R. Smith’s biggest fan when talks heated up about Smith coming to Cleveland back in January. Now, after more than a month and a half of discussion in free agency, J.R. Smith and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed on a new 2-year, $5 million contract. On Thursday, J.R. Smith posted the announcement via Instagram.

LeBron James, who originally wanted J.R. Smith on the team back in January and also for next season, congratulated Smith on his new deal.
