Everyone knows about LeBron James’ infamous ‘no phone use’ code that he goes up during the NBA playoffs. Ever since losing to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, James hasn’t used his phone during the postseason, calling it ‘Zero Dark Thirty Mode.’

“I don’t have no phones, no social media, I don’t have anything. I don’t care about nonsense, There’s too much nonsense out there. Not during this time, this is when I lock in right now and I don’t need nothing creeping into my mind that don’t need to be there.”
After the crazy Saturday night of sports which consisted of an epic Game 7 between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Clippers, LeBron James broke his code, temporarily.
James reportedly called one of his closest friends Chris Paul to congratulate him on the series victory. Paul had suffered a strained hamstring in the first quarter that looked like it would keep him from the rest of the game. He came back in the second quarter and led a heroic charge against the defending NBA Champions, including an off-balance shot with one second remaining to give the Clippers a two point lead.
LeBron James said he called Chris Paul from his wife's phone after Paul's game-winner. Told Paul how amazing he was and then hung up.

“I called him from my wife’s phone. He answered the phone, he was like ‘what’s up?’ I told him don’t say nothing, you’re not allowed to reply, you’re not allowed to say anything,” James said. “I told him how amazing he was and how great he was and I hung up on him, I haven’t spoken to him since, it’s the truth.”
A nice gesture from LeBron to his best friend, but he’ll now have to get back to focusing on the Cavs series against the Bulls, where they’re down 0-1 in the series.
