The question we’ve all been waiting on is finally known.
Inside information has surfaced from people close to LeBron James revealing what he will do in the summer of 2018 when his contract is up.
James will officially decide to re-sign with the Cavaliers for a maximum contract, adding that he intends to retire with the franchise, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
“I have accomplished so much with Cleveland that I feel like there’s no reason for me to leave,” James said. “I should be the MVP this season. I’m still the best player in the league and the only place I want to be is my hometown.”
James was expected to consider the Lakers, Sixers, Rockets and possibly the Spurs. But in the end it’s clear where his heart is right now.
James has won three NBA titles and that is the biggest difference between him and the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. James is likely to surpass both in individual statistics over the course of his career, but the rings competition is still up for debate.
Despite the Cavs’ moves over the past year, LeBron is still happy with what he has in Cleveland and isn’t thinking that anywhere else offers him a better chance to win.
April Fool’s! LeBron James has not made a decision yet and no information regarding his future decision is known yet. But we know Cavs Nation is hoping this article does come true and LeBron retires as a Cav and never leaves again!
