Most fans across the NBA landscape would love to witness a game in person, but some never get the chance. This weekend, 10-year-old Mason Del Farraro, who suffers from cerebral palsy, will attend his first Cavaliers game.
You see, Mason and his family are big-time Cavaliers fans. In fact, Mason loves the Cavs so much that he sleeps with a LeBron James doll. However, Mason, a triplet, doesn’t always get to experience everything his brothers do because of his affliction.
According to Maia Belay of Fox 8 News in Cleveland, Mason’s cousin attempted to win tickets to this weekends game through a school competition but failed. In a surprisingly generous move, the winner of the tickets decided to pass his prize on to Mason.
“Mason misses out on a lot of stuff,” said his mom Jodi Del Ferraro as she wiped tears from her eyes. “So for something to make him so happy, and he gets to go too, is pretty special.”
“He’s such a special boy and it was done out of love and I know how much it means to him,” Del Ferraro continued.
In closing, Mason’s mother told Belay that she and her family will never forget the generosity displayed by the student who made this possible.
