Earlier this week, news came down the wire stating that Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James had purchased a second home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles, California. While there may be some who might think the King is destined for Tinseltown, former Lakers great Robert Horry doesn’t agree.
“LeBron has two big cribs here in L.A.,” a TMZ reporter said to Horry during an impromptu sidewalk interview. “Is that a sign? Do you think he’s planning on moving to L.A.?”
“No,” Horry replied without hesitation. “When you’ve got money like (LeBron) has, you can have two cribs wherever you want to have them. If he’s got two cribs (in L.A.), he’s already living here.”
The new home, which features eight bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, and spectacular views of downtown Los Angeles, is said to have set James back roughly $23 million. His first L.A.-based residence, which was vandalized last season, is valued at $21 million.
James, now in his 15th season of NBA service, does have several ties to Los Angeles. His business partner, Maverick Carter, is based in the city. And James’ production company, Springhill Entertainment, is based at Warner Bros. Studios. However, at this point, no one knows exactly what he has planned for the 2018 offseason. It’s true, he can become a free agent, but that doesn’t mean he wants to leave the Cavs. In fact, it seems to be just the opposite.
