According to a report from TMZ.com, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has purchased a second home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.

The home, which is valued at $23 million, has eight bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, an elevator, and is said to have spectacular views of downtown L.A. James’ other home in Brentwood, which he has owned for two years, set him back $21 million.

There are some who might think LeBron James’ purchase of a second home in L.A. points to him leaving the Cavs in the future, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Via Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com:

“A source close to James said the Cavs superstar and his family liked the new one better, and nothing should be construed about James’ future in Cleveland from the purchase.”

James, now in his 15th season of NBA service, does have several ties to Los Angeles. His business partner, Maverick Carter, is based in the city. And James’ production company, Springhill Entertainment, is based at Warner Bros. Studios.

LeBron James can become a free agent after this season, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be suiting up for the Lakers. In fact, James seems to be content with riding off into a Wine and Gold sunset.
