Mental issues have become a damaging plague for individuals across the globe, regardless of their social standing and wealth. Celebrities, much like ordinary people, often suffer from mental problems that usually contribute to depression, and in worst cases death.
Recently, Cavs forward Kevin Love released a bombshell article on the Players’ Tribune, discussing a panic attack that he suffered earlier in the season. Many players and fans have given Love their support in wake of this troubling information. This even includes WWE Hall-of-Famer, Ric Flair, who happens to be a Cavs fan and Ohio native. On Wednesday afternoon, Flair gave his support and some words of encouragement to Love on Twitter after hearing about the ordeal.
Love expressed his gratitude for the support he received after making his brave post on the Players’ Tribune to discuss his recent mental issues, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
“It’s been amazing,” “I didn’t realize that the response would be like it was or like it is. It’s amazing what we’re able to do with this platform, but like I mentioned, everybody is going through something. Everybody has things that you can’t see, that you can’t touch that they’re walking around with every day.”
It’s a great sight for the whole sports community to come together and offer their support for Love, who is apparently going through something. The constant demands that entail a NBA career is something that many people do not understand. Regardless of how much money an individual makes, mental fatigue does not discriminate. Hopefully, Love can rebound from this issue and come back stronger than ever. It appears that Flair believes that Love will survive this ordeal just like he has done in his past.
