L.A. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is a player that could help the Cleveland Cavaliers now but one player jokingly thinks that singer Montell Jordan is a better fit. And guess what? Jordan, the singer, thinks so, too.
Tom Withers, Associated Press writer for the Cavaliers, posted a response on Twitter from a Cavs player when asked how much DeAndre could help them. The anonymous player jokingly replied, “Montell Jordan could help us right now.”
Having heard of this, Montell decided to respond hilariously to the tweet about how much he can contribute to this Cavaliers team.
“I’m good for 2pts, 1 rebound and 5 good strong fouls.”
The Cavaliers have been one of the worst teams in the NBA since Christmas and are on a downward spiral the likes of which have never been seen on a LeBron James-led team. They have lost 12 of their last 18 games, many of them by double digits.
It’s no secret that the Cavs covet Jordan, the Clippers center not the singer, but are unable to strike a deal because they don’t have the pieces to facilitate a trade. At least, none that the Clippers are interested in apart from the 2018 Brooklyn pick which the Cavs aren’t about to surrender.
The trade deadline is just two days away and the Cavs are running out of time to get a deal done that helps them in the present without sacrificing their future.
Whether it’s DeAndre or Montell or even Michael, the Cavs are going to need all the help they can get.
