Since he entered the league back in 2003, LeBron James has always played with a lot of intensity, and focused on getting his game better. Now at this stage of his career, it will be understandable if he loses some of the fire in him, but he said recently that it was even lit further this summer after he watched his sons play AAU games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers star forward admitted that this offseason was one of the best he’s ever had, before adding that the “basketball fever” in him is at a high because of seeing them compete.
Just like most fathers who have children playing in AAU games, The King was also present and even coached them during some games. He was also seen intently watching, and paying close attention to them, looking for things he can teach in order for them to improve further.
James’ comments could be bad news for the rest of the competition, as it may inspire him to play at an even higher level this coming season. With new teammates, coupled with a lot of squads improving their lineups, the former four-time MVP and three-time champion could feel that he needs to prove that he can still win with their current group of players. That said, it can be expected that he will give it his all to win, and lead the Cavs to another Finals appearance, and hopefully win it all next year.
