The Miami Heat managed to get a homecoming for Dwyane Wade after receiving him in a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday before the trade deadline.
Wade, who started and spent nearly his entire career in Miami, has played for the Chicago Bulls and the Cavaliers over the last two years. But, he did not actually want to leave Miami. He was just upset that he wasn’t being paid what he felt he deserved.
But now, Wade gets the chance to go back to where his heart is, and that’s South Beach. He surely must be ecstatic to once again play for the franchise he won three titles with.
Someone else is excited for Wade’s return to Miami, and that’s his best friend LeBron James, who reacted on his Instagram account.

James and Wade have been friends for years, and that friendship became deeper when they joined forces in Miami in 2010. Of course, LeBron eventually left the Heat to go back to the Cavs, while Wade signed with Chicago. But the two were reunited in Cleveland this season.
It must be difficult when friends move on to different teams after building a close relationship on the same team for many years.. But, James and Wade are both grown men, and they both understand that a friendship endures no matter what.
It’s nice to see James congratulate Wade publicly like that. It shows there are no hard feelings for what went down and that he supports his friend no matter what.
