Through his first 15 years in the league, LeBron James has put together nothing short of an illustrious NBA career.
Along the way, James has progressively racked up many personal statistical feats that have put him in a category of his own in league history. According to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports, the 32-year-old is on a current trajectory that no other player in NBA has reached.
What has been most impressive is that he’s constructing arguably his most productive campaign in his 15th season currently ranks third in the league with 28.1 points on career highs with 57.9 percent shooting from the field and 40.7 percent from beyond the arc. He’s also tied for second in the league with a career-best 9.1 assists per game.
This gives off the notion that James has plenty left in the tank to play at an elite level for several more seasons that could push him closer toward reaching this impressive personal feat. He’s on pace to potentially challenge Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar while being on track to push himself into the territory of the top five in all-time career assists.
Much of this is a testament to his work ethic and strict dedication to his physical health. If he’s able to remain relatively healthy over the next several years, there’s no reason to believe he can’t achieve these career marks in what’s been a first-ballot Hall of Fame career.
