Following his historic feat on Tuesday night, LeBron James has received a lot of congratulatory messages for reaching 30,000 points in his illustrious career. From former and current players, coaches, to celebrities from different industries, they have all congratulated The King for also becoming just the seventh player in NBA history to reach that mark.
Rapper and music producer Drake wants to join the trend but is apparently looking to take his message for James to another level. He wants it to have more life. Instead of just having a simple video or tweet, he announced that he is making a song for the Cleveland Cavaliers star forward to congratulate him, via Uninterrupted. The Canadian artist also said how much LeBron James has served as an inspiration to him, and even dropped a bottle of expensive wine while being recorded.
“Seems like every time we look up, you’re setting another milestone or breaking another record and I always tell you that you’re one of the most inspirational people in my life. Every time you do something like this I always try to get in the studio and make the song that would go with the moment.
It’s still unclear when Drake plans to release the song and if it will be part of his next album. However, he is known to come up with a lot of hits, and with James’ milestone incorporated in the latest song he’s about to make, it won’t come as a surprise if it will once again top the charts as soon as it’s released.
