The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors were locked into a heated first half of Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals. Cleveland led Golden State 58-52 despite Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combining for just 2-of-15 shooting from the field.
The Cavs played very well in all aspects of the game, but only led by 6. The Cavs out-rebounded the Warriors 28-16, out-assisted them 14-9, and out-scored them in the paint 38-24. However the Cavs shot zero free throw attempts while the Warriors attempted 13 free throws.
Cavs fans were certainly upset once they took note of those stats, but none was more upset than owner Dan Gilbert, who took to Twitter to let everyone know about the free throw disparity. He then immediately deleted it, but not before Twitter was able to capture a screenshot of it.
Through three quarters of play, the Warriors have taken an 83-81 lead led by Kevin Durant’s 34 points and 13 rebounds. The Cavs shot seven fhree throws in the third quarter while the Warriors shot just two.
