It’s been 10 years now since the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first championship in franchise history after sparking a comeback from being down 3-1 in the series against the Golden State Warriors. This past week, several members of the 2016 Cavs team have gathered together for a mini-reunion, with JR Smith having a great time.

In one of the group’s latest bit of shenanigans during the 2016 Cavs reunion, JR Smith was up and dancing on his seat while the squad was hanging out at a venue.
Among the other members of the 2016 team that showed up this week were LeBron James, Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, Matthew Dellavedova, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye and Tristan Thompson. The group got together in Europe and played a few rounds of golf as well.
As for Smith, he played a key role on the 2016 title team as a starting guard. He was originally acquired from the New York Knicks the year before alongside Shumpert in a multi-team trade that involved Dion Waiters being sent from the Cavs to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Knicks acquired Lou Amundson and Alex Kirk from the Cavs and Lance Thomas from the Thunder in the deal.
Smith started in 77 games during the 2016 regular season, and all 21 playoff games. During the title run, he averaged 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals with splits of 43.6 percent shooting from the field, 43 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 61.9 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
The former first round pick would play a total of five seasons with the Cavs before going on to win another NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in his final season in the NBA in 2019-20.
