Ten years after delivering the Cleveland Cavaliers their first NBA championship, LeBron James and several members of the historic 2016 title team reunited to celebrate the anniversary of their unforgettable Game 7 victory.

The reunion is taking place in the United Kingdom, where former Cavaliers players have gathered for a luxury getaway split primarily between London, England, and Scotland. The trip has featured sightseeing, group activities and rounds of golf as the former teammates commemorate one of the most significant moments in franchise history.

A video shared by Kevin Love on social media showed James alongside several familiar faces from the championship roster, including Love, Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, J.R. Smith and Tristan Thompson. The latest update also revealed that Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova had joined the celebration.

The gathering comes exactly 10 years after Cleveland completed its historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals. The Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to overcome such a deficit in the Finals, securing the championship with a 93-89 victory in Game 7 on June 19, 2016.

James delivered one of the most memorable performances in Finals history during the series, earning Finals MVP honors after leading both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. His chasedown block on Andre Iguodala in the closing minutes of Game 7 remains one of the defining plays in NBA history.

2016 Cavaliers championship reunion goes on without Kyrie Irving

While many members of the championship team attended the reunion, one notable absence stood out. Current Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, who hit the go-ahead 3-pointer over Stephen Curry late in Game 7, was not present with the group.

Following an earlier social media post from the reunion, one fan suggested Irving had been excluded from the festivities. Smith quickly pushed back on that narrative.

“Missing none,” Smith wrote in the comment section. “He was invited and ghosted us all. So stop with that bs.”

Irving has not publicly commented on his absence.

Regardless, the reunion highlighted the lasting bond shared by the players who helped end Cleveland’s 52-year major professional sports championship drought and delivered one of the most celebrated titles in NBA history.
