The Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls will meet for the first time this season tonight, December 2nd. LeBron James’ Cavs, after embarrassingly losing at home to the Clippers, will visit the United Center to take on his best friend Dwyane Wade and his Bulls. Tonight’s game, however, has more significance. James will have to pay up for the bet the World Series bet he made with Wade back in October.
The Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs played a very entertaining seven-game World Series that started on October 25 and ended November 2. Not only did the series feature two excellent teams, but it brought two storied franchises together as both hadn’t won a World series in 68 years (Indians) and 108 years (Cubs), respectively.

What made it more interesting for NBA fans was the bet placed between James, who hails from Ohio, and Wade, who’s a product of Chicago, before the series started.

@DwyaneWade Absolutely!! We're placing a nice bet and more on this one my friend! #WorldSeries #RallyTogether

According to Wade, the loser of the bet had to come to the other’s home game dressed up in full uniform from the winning team’s baseball team. Since the Indians lost, James will now attend tonight’s game dressed up in a Chicago Cubs’ uniform.

With the Indians taking a 3-1 series lead, it looked like LeBron James was well on his way towards winning the bet. Chicago then came back to win three games in a row and end it’s championship drought, leaving Cleveland fans everywhere in shock, but appreciation for the team.
