The Kyrie Irving soap opera is heating up. Reports that Irving wants a trade hit the Cleveland Cavaliers like a bomb. Speculation upon speculation came, stating many reasons that Irving possibly wants out of Ohio. However, when a player shares the locker room with LeBron James, James will be dragged into the discussion somehow.

There were many rumors out there concerning James and Irving. They ranged from Irving wanting to be the focal point of a team, all the way to James actually wanting the Cavaliers to trade Irving before the season, because he would beat him up if he sees him. Now, if the latter sounds ridiculous, of course it is.

Those reports prompted James to take it to Twitter and debunk the rumors himself.

With a marketable personality like James, all the major outlets ran with the story, without checking the facts. This, presumably, gets annoying over time and no one has to deal with it more than James. Like every professional athlete, James usually does not give these rumors his time, but this was a very far-fetched rumor. James loves nothing more than winning, so it makes no sense that he’d be eager for Irving to be traded. Even if there is personal drama, James and Irving are professionals who would work it out over time.
