After re-signing Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, and LeBron James to start free agency as well as the signing of Mo Williams, the Cavs have set their eyes on some of the remaining free agents.

While deals with Tristan Thompson, Matthew Dellavedova, and J.R. Smith are up in the air, James Jones has officially re-signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a 1-year, $1.45 million deal.

“I’ll be back in Cleveland for sure.
“I’ve made it well known last year when I told them I was coming to help change the culture and do something special,” Jones said. “It wasn’t a situation where I was looking for a platform to move on. I was looking to be a part of something, to build something. And so I’m still in.”

Jones, who played in just 57 games this past regular season, played in all 20 postseason games and averaged 4.4 points and 1.5 rebounds as the backup small forward. The Cavs will now focus on getting an agreement with Tristan Thompson and trading away Brendan Haywood.
