Bradley Beal recently made the round of news with his unnecessary trash talk directed at the Cleveland Cavaliers, confidently saying that the defending champions wanted to avoid the already eliminated Washington Wizards.
It would have made for a pretty good hype material. However, fact is Beal and the Wizards lost their own second round series to the very same Boston Celtics team the Cavaliers have utterly dominated over the past two games.
Richard Jefferson has already shot down Bradley Beal’s statement, and J.R. Smith is now joining the party.
It’s hard to give credence to Beal’s statement given how the Cavs have performed so far in the playoffs. Led by LeBron James, Cleveland had been on a historical run, demolishing every opponent along their way en route to a 10-0 playoff start.
It’s just hard to imagine the Wizards, with all their flaws and inconsistencies, giving the Cavs a run for their money.
