The Cleveland Cavaliers have not been playing well of late. What’s making things worse for the team are reports that the Cavs’ locker room is broken. But if this montage of Instagram stories posted by Cavaliers shooting guard Dwayne Wade was any indication, it seems that they are going along just fine.
In the video, we could see Channing Frye hilariously guiding Tristan Thompson’s golf swing from behind, while Wade could be heard in the background. J.R. Smith also made an appearance on Dwayne Wade’s story, though he was not assisted by anyone while taking a swing. Smith is an avid golfer himself, and can be often seen hitting the links when not doing anything related to basketball, so he clearly did not need any training wheels getting off a practice drive.
The last part of Wade’s story shows the Cavaliers engaging themselves in a game of beach volleyball. This activity might also have served as a training of sorts for the Cavs, whose punching-bag defense has been the biggest culprit behind all the losing they have been absorbing this year. LeBron James, however, was a non-participant in the activity, as the four-time league MVP could be seen on the sidelines carrying a drink.
Prior to Tuesday’s road game against the Orlando Magic, the Cavs have won only six of their 15 games since the calendar shifted to 2018. Their defensive rating has been among the worst in the league over the past 15 games, but maybe, the recent bonding they had would result to better communication on the floor, particularly on defense.
