Last night, the NBA’s defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers were in Utah for a match-up with the Jazz inside the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
The Cavs, who trailed the Jazz for the majority of last night’s game, were unable to complete a late come-back effort. When the dust settled in Salt Lake City, the Jazz had defeated the Cavs by a score of 100-92.
Tonight, the Cavs are scheduled to face the Portland Trail Blazers inside The Moda Center at 10:00 p.m. EST. News broke early this morning that Cleveland’s team flight had been delayed on takeoff for two hours due to inclement weather. According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the team’s plane was grounded in Utah because of snow in Portland, leaving them stranded on the runway for two hours. McMenamin reports that the plane took off shortly after 3:30 a.m. and flew to Seattle. The Cavs then bussed to Portland.

#Cavs lucky enough to get into #Portland after 2 hour delay in #SaltLakeCity. #trailblazers not as lucky getting routed to #Seattle

Channing Frye, Cleveland’s stretch big man, tried to make the best of his team’s prolonged time on the tarmac by documenting the scene inside the plane for his followers on Snapchat. Frye took pictures and video with his teammates using Snapchat’s face-changing features.

The smooth-shooting big man also posted a video on Instagram of the team’s bus ride to Portland.
Flight delays are always tough to deal with, but having a guy like Frye around certainly helps lighten the mood.
