After spending some time in the gym with some of his teammates at UC-Santa Barbara’s campus on Wednesday, Cleveland Cavalier superstar LeBron James gave his fans and followers on Instagram a sneak-peak at one of the new colorways for his signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 15. The new color scheme, which is predominantly wine in hue, features navy accents and a translucent sole.
James’ post caught the attention of several athletes and celebrities, including Drake, Diddy, and Isaiah Thomas, his newly-acquired teammate.
“I almost took these today when you weren’t looking,” Thomas wrote in the comments of James’ Instagram post.
Last season, Thomas favored Kobe Bryant’s signature line of basketball shoes. Now, however, it sounds like the crafty ball-handler may be ready to make a gear swap.
The LeBron 15’s, which integrate Nike’s Flyknit technology and a new hybrid of Zoom Air/Air Max cushioning, are slated to hit retail stores on October 28th, 2017, with prices expected to be somewhere around $185. As of now, there are no reports stating whether or not this Cavaliers-like colorway will be made available to the general public, but it’s probably safe to say that fans of the team hope it sees mass production.
