The Supreme arm sleeve craze has been taking over the NBA in the past few days. After its much talked about sighting on Kelly Oubre’s leg on Tuesday, the latest to wear one is Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith, who sported it during the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers game on Thursday.
Unlike the Washington Wizards forward though, Smith has it in black, with the very visible white letters, on his left arm. It’s definitely hard not to notice, as it is also the first time he’s rocked one during an actual game.
It can be recalled that Oubre was asked by the league office to take it off in the second half of their match versus the Brooklyn Nets. He explained that he did not think he was violating any rule, as it even had the logo of the NBA on it.
Smith appeared to wear his sleeve for the entirety of the game. The Northeast Ohio faithful certainly do not mind him having the expensive piece of arm support, as long as it does not affect his shot, and will be able to contribute to the team’s winning streak.
