Collin Sexton’s flames had to be extinguished after he went off for a career-evening against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The entire Cleveland Cavaliers locker room doused the red-hot Sexton, greeting him with a water-shower after the huge 147-135 win.
The 22-year-old exploded for a career-high of 42 to lead the Cavs to their fourth home win of the season.

Collin Sexton was a problem for the Nets all game long. After missing his last five games due to an ankle issue, Young Bull showed no signs of rust as he mounted his career-high of 42 against Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Kevin Durant in the double OT game.
The Cavs’ third-year guard knocked down 16 of his 29 shots and erupted for 22 points in overtime, including four huge threes in the second overtime period to ultimately ruin the debut of the Nets’ new big three.
The Alabama alum is certainly one of the most exciting young stars who has been putting his team on his shoulders. Prior to his explosion against the Nets, Sexton was good for 25.1 points per game on an efficient 53.1 percent shooting clip in his first eight games for the Cavs.
After being selected by Cleveland as the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the feisty point guard is slowly making a name for himself as one of the best young scoring guards in the league. Year on year, he has been able to show development and continuous improvement in his game. With the Cavs all-in on Sexton this season, he’s poised to eclipse his averages yet again.
