Cleveland Cavaliers forward Cedi Osman had a night on Sunday, as he led the Cavs to a 122-99 annihilation of the Los Angeles Clippers at home. Fans who saw the game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse were left mesmerized by the performance of Osman to the point that they were chanting his name.
“There’s a ‘Cedi!’ chant breaking out in the clapping moments of tonight’s game,” per Evan Dammarell.
Cedi Osman came away with a career-high-tying total of 29 points of 11-for-19 shooting from the floor while coming off the bench. Osman really made his mark in the second half wherein he scored 21 of his total scoring output in the contest. He also finished with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 22 minutes of action.
The 27-year-old Cedi Osman did the most damage from behind the arc, as he nailed all of his seven attempts from the 3-point area. He was feeling it against the Clippers and made sure to capitalize on the zone he was in. Ironically, one of the only two misses he had the entire game was a layup.
It was a great bounce-back performance from Osman, to say the least. Prior to the win against the Clippers, he only had five points in a 112-100 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder back on Friday.
Cedi Osman and the Cavs will take a rest on Monday before hitting the court again on Tuesday with another home game versus Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. The Cavs close out a three-game homestand on Thursday against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies.
