One would think that Channing Frye knows something about LeBron James’ decision in free agency since they spent several days together in Europe celebrating the 10th anniversary of their title with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James must have said something after their 675th bottle of expensive wine, right?
Well, apparently, nada. Because Frye is as clueless as the rest of the Milky Way.
The 41-year-old forward has kept everyone in the dark about his choice for his next team. But for Frye, it should only boil down to the Cavaliers or the Miami Heat, two teams that James is already quite familiar with. Frye, however, added that Cleveland would be a better fit for his former teammate.
“I don’t like the roster of Miami at all. There are not enough shooters. Giannis (Antetokounmpo) plays more of a (Nikola) Jokic-style basketball, where he has to have the ball in his hands, and then now you’re making LeBron James a spot-up shooter,” said Frye in an interview with Yahoo! Sports.
“Whereas here (in Cleveland), he and James Harden would be a pretty good partnership. I even talked to James the other day, and he’s like, ‘Dog, just waiting on big fella.'”

James proved on the Lakers that he can mesh with another ball-dominant star, willingly taking a back seat to Luka Doncic. Harden has done the same in his first run with the Cavaliers, partnering with Donovan Mitchell in the backcourt.
James and Harden, both former MVPs, are known to be selfless playmakers, and Frye believes that they will complement each other well.
Harden was recently slammed by fans after talking about forming a trio with James and Mitchell.
