During the first quarter of Tuesday’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs, LeBron James joined the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Dirk Nowitzki as the only players in NBA history to reach 30,000 points in their careers.
James received a lot of congratulatory messages from his fellow players as well as from coaches he worked with in the past. The Cavs superstar was also greeted by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jimmy Iovine, who both wanted to let him know how proud they are of his accomplishment and that he has further cemented his status as one of the best to ever play the game.
The two world-famous personalities’ messages only go to show the impact James has made not just to the game of basketball, but to everyone who understands how difficult it is to reach his latest achievement. Despite already being 32 years old, the Cavs’ leader is still not showing any signs of slowing down, which makes it possible for him to further move up the scoring ladder, and even challenge for one of the top spots.
It can be expected that there will be other celebrities from different industries that may send their good wishes to the former four-time MVP in the coming days. James is continuing to re-write the history books, and the personalities may see it as their chance to let him know that they are pleased to see the Cavs forward show off his greatness right before their very eyes.
