In July, the Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers officially welcomed three-time All-Star point guard Derrick Rose to their rotation. Now, the fine designers at 2K are giving gamers a sneak-peak at what the former Memphis Tiger will look like in their upcoming release of NBA 2K18. They also added his rating, however, which seems a bit odd.

Rose, now 28 years of age, holds career averages of 19.5 points on 45% shooting from the field, 6.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in 34.7 minutes per game. In his 64 games played for the New York Knicks last season, Rose averaged 18 points on 47% shooting (career-high 87% from the free-throw line), 4.4 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 32.5 minutes per contest. After a season like that, for him to have the same 2K rating as rookie Josh Jackson and even be a few points lower than Lonzo Ball, Markelle Fultz, and D’Angelo Russell is a bit disrespectful.

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue will be looking for solid production from Rose this season, presumably off the bench. For now, though, fans will just have to wait for his first real appearance in a wine and gold uniform.
