The Cleveland Cavaliers have just one more game before their Christmas Day matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Facing off against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, the Cavs may catch a big break to get their key guys some rest.

“It’ll be tough. I don’t like missing those games, right there. I really don’t like missing those games,” Anthony said after practice Tuesday. “That competitive nature starts coming out and we’ve been playing some good basketball too, so that’s a game I probably wouldn’t want to sit out but I don’t want to risk it. But we do have three in four nights coming up, so it’s not about that one game.”
Anthony’s absence will surely help Kyrie Irving get some easier run without worrying too much about turning the ball over and working off the rust. LeBron James, Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, and Matthew Dellavedova, meanwhile, could try to put the Knicks away early and some extra, much-needed rest before the Cavs fly out to Oakland for their colossal matchup with the Warriors.
