The Cleveland Cavaliers have unveiled their roster for the 2025 NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas, combining first-year prospects with returning players, headlined by Duke star and No. 49 overall pick Tyrese Proctor. The Summer League, running from July 10 to 20, will be the first official appearance of Proctor in a Cavaliers uniform.
Selected in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft, Proctor joins the Cavs following a strong collegiate career at Duke. The 6-foot-5 Australian guard played three seasons at the program, finishing with over 1,100 career points. In his junior campaign, he averaged 12.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from 3, and 68.0 percent from the free-throw line. His sharpshooting made him Duke’s leading 3-point scorer in 2024–25 with 89 makes, including a scorching 55.2 percent from beyond the arc in the NCAA Tournament.
Notable performances include a 19-point outing with six triples against Mount St. Mary’s and a 25-point explosion with seven threes against Baylor. Proctor ranked in the 94th percentile on jump shots, per Synergy Sports, while also converting 37.2 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3s and 40.5 percent of his pull-up attempts. Even though his playmaking took a step back as his assists fell from 3.7 to 2.2 per game after shifting into more of an off-ball role, he still maintained a career assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.33, fourth all-time in Duke history.
However, concerns remain about his athleticism. He struggled at the rim, making only 49.3 percent of his layup attempts as a junior. His physical profile includes a 6-foot-7 wingspan and a 36.5-inch vertical leap at 183 pounds, but his below-the-rim style and lack of burst contributed to his slide into the second round.
Proctor will be joined in Las Vegas by fellow 2025 draft pick Saliou Niang (No. 58 overall), a forward from Italy’s Trento club. Other key names on the Cavaliers’ Summer League roster include Craig Porter Jr., 2024 first-rounder Jaylon Tyson, and two-way player Nae’Qwan Tomlin. The team will be led by assistant coach Omar Cook.
The Cavaliers’ Summer League schedule begins July 10 against the Indiana Pacers at 5 p.m. ET on NBA TV. The Cavaliers will also face the Milwaukee Bucks on July 12, the Miami Heat on July 13, and the Sacramento Kings on July 16, with potential playoff or placement games scheduled between July 18 and 2,0 depending on the standings.
