As a result of the Toronto Raptors‘ 4-2 series victory against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of this year’s NBA Playoffs, the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers can finally start preparing for their opponent in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Raptors are advancing thanks to a grind-out 92-89 victory over the Bucks last night inside The BMO Harris Bradley Center. Toronto nearly blew a 25-point lead, but a 9-0 run in the closing minutes of the game was enough to hold off the charging Bucks. DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors in scoring, en route to 32 points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
Until last night, Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue and his staff were studying for both opponents. In fact, coach Lue invited a large contingent of the Cavaliers organization to his house for a Bucks-Raptors watch party. Now, the second-year helmsman and his staff can focus solely on the Raptors.
As such, times and dates for the Eastern Conference Semifinals have been released.
Games 1 (Monday at 7:00 p.m. EST) and 2 (Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. EST) will be aired on TNT. Game 3 (Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST) will be on ESPN. Game 4 (Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EST) will be broadcast on ABC. Games 5, 6, and 7 are to be determined. Fox Sports Ohio will have pre- and post-game coverage throughout the playoffs.
