When down 3-1 in the NBA Finals, no team has ever come back to win it all. The Cleveland Cavaliers, however, have a chance to go for history in Game 6 tonight.
Of the 32 teams that have been down 3-1 throughout Finals history, only two have come back to win Game 6 and force a decisive Game 7: the 1951 New York Knicks and the 1966 Los Angeles Lakers.

The last time a team down 3-1 in the Finals and forced a Game 7 was 50 years ago when the Lakers came back against the Boston Celtics and made it one hell of an interesting series. The Celtics would eventually win a tight Game 7 95-93 to hold off L.A.
The Warriors have looked like the better team at times, but the Cavs have also had their great moments, especially when Kyrie Irving and LeBron James each scored 41 points en route to the greatest performance by a pair of teammates in NBA history.
Game 6, possibly the most important game in this franchise’s history, will start at 9PM EST.
