The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly interested in trading for Cleveland Cavaliers small forward Cedi Osman, according to Sam Amico of Amico Hoops

Cedi Osman is making $2.78 million this season and will earn $2.91 million next year. The 23-year-old swingman is averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this season for the Cavs while shooting 35.9 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Cavs are in rebuild mode, while the Clippers are off to a surprising start. Los Angeles must feel that Osman can give them small forward depth behind Tobias Harris and help the team make the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference.

If Cleveland is ready to move on from Cedi Osman, acquiring future draft picks would likely be the route they would take. The Clippers aren’t going to give up any of their young talent for Osman and acquiring veteran players isn’t smart for the Cavs right now.

Osman has improved his game from last year. He has a better jump shot and has shown he can be a playmaker on offense. The two-year player from the Republic of Macedonia always plays hard and gives maximum effort as well.
