After dropping Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Boston Celtics on Sunday night, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James made his way to the press room for post-game media availability. James had just posted one of the worst playoff games in the history of his postseason career, scoring a substandard 11 points, six assists, and six rebounds in his 45 minutes of action.

Kenny “The Road Man” Roda of WHBC in Cleveland decided to ask James if the Celtics did something differently on defense to limit his production, or if he “just wasn’t feeling it.” The King, normally great with members of the media, was a bit put off by the question.

“It’s a weird thing with you, Kenny,” James said as he shook his head. “You always come around when we lose. I swear.”

Now, fast forward to Tuesday night’s Game 4 press conference — a game in which the champs battled back from a 16-point deficit to win, 112-99. Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue was at the mic this time. Roda, one of the best radio personalities in the business, began to ask coach Lue about the Cavs’ nine turnovers in the first half. Coach Lue, known to be a joker at times, quickly interrupted Roda, quoting the exact same line that James used after Game 3.

“Kenny, its funny,” Lue said. “You only show up when we lose. That’s funny, man. You only ask questions when we lose.”

Everyone in the media room cracked a smile, including Roda. Game 5 is set for 8:30 p.m. tonight on TNT. Currently, the Cavs are leading the series, 3-1. We’ll just have to wait and see if the post-game presser has a similar feel.
