Finally, the wait is over. J.R. Smith has officially re-signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the four month contract holdout is over. The Cavs can now move on to and focus on their title defense starting October 25th. J.R. Smith still has a lot of work to do in terms of catching up the amount of training camp work his teammates have put in.

However, for now, everyone is simply glad that Smith is going to be wearing the Wine & Gold uniform for the next couple of years.

The Cavs next and final game this preseason will be against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. It’s unclear if Smith will start right away, but at least the whole band will be back together to receive their rings and raise the 2016 NBA Championship banner.
