This NBA season has seen a boost in player performances! From scoring and rebounding to assisting and hitting clutch shots, the 2014-15 regular season has been one of the better seasons in recent years. In this segment, we’ll take a look at the top 10 scoring performances of the year, starting with number 10:

10. Anthony Davis and Damian Lillard

In only his fourth game back from injury, Davis puts up a career high-tying 43 points in a win against the Bucks.

Damian Lillard

43 points 43 points, 16-19 FG, 4-9 3PT, 7-8 FT

LIllard went off for 43 points in a double-overtime matchup against the Spurs.

9. Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant

44 points, 13-23 FG, 6-11 3PT, 12-12 FT

In his return from injury, Kevin Durant put up 44 points on an efficient 13-23 from the field and a perfect 12-12 from the free-throw line.

Kobe Bryant

November 16, 2014, vs. Golden State Warriors
44 points, 15-34 FG, 3-12 3PT, 11-16 FT

The Lakers were blown out by the Golden State Warriors, but Bryant got his 34 shots in, making 15 of them for 44 points.

8. James Harden and Blake Griffin

James Harden

January 19, 2015 vs. Indiana Pacers
45 points, 12-18 FG, 7-12 3PT, 14-15 FT

In a blowout victory over the Indiana Pacers, Harden could not be stopped as he put up 45 points on a very efficient night from the field and nearly perfect percentage from the free throw line.

Blake Griffin

December 8, 2015, vs. Indiana Pacers
45 points, 14-24 FG, 2-2 3PT, 15-17 FT

Griffin scored a career high 45 points, none bigger than the final three points. He hit a game winning three-pointer at the buzzer that bounced around a couple times before luckily going in and giving the Clippers the victory.

7. Pau Gasol and Carmelo Anthony

With a shorthanded Bulls roster, Gasol took it upon himself to lead the Bulls to victory, scoring a career high 46 points with no three-pointers made or attempted.

46 points, 16-26 FG, 1-1 3PT, 13-16 FT

This one was early in the season, and although the Knicks lost at the buzzer on Trey Burke corner three, Melo still had a great game with 46 points and only one three-pointer made.

6. Russell Westbrook

In a near triple-double effort, Westbrook scored an efficient 48 points to go with nine rebounds and 11 assists.

Westbrook scored a career high 49 points and brought down 15 rebounds, also a career high, to go along with 10 assists in a win against the Sixers. This is possibly the Stat Line of the Year!

51 points, 16-26 FG, 10-16 3PT, 9-11 FT

Stephen Curry caught fire against the Mavericks and torched them for 51 points on 10-16 from three-point land alone! His last three was flat-out ridiculous.

3. Klay Thompson and Mo Williams

52 points, 16-25 FG, 11-15 3PT, 9-10 FT

Thompson had a slow start to his night, but scored 37 points in the third quarter against the Kings for the NBA record for most points in a quarter. To top that, he went a perfect 13-13 from the field in that quarter, including 9-9 from the three-point line! Saying ‘he was on fire’ is an obvious understatement for this one.

Mo Williams

January 13, 2015, @ Indiana Pacers
52 points 19-33 FG, 6-11 3PT, 8-9 FT

Easily the name you’d least expect to see on a list like this, Williams went off for 52 points in a road game against the tough Indiana Pacers. Williams brought his Wolves team from behind with a 21-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Pacers.

Not much to say about this one but “wow…!” Irving simply put the Cavaliers on his back when they were struggling to score late in the fourth to tie the game on a buzzer beater. Then, he hit big bucket after big bucket in overtime to win the game for the Cavs.
