David Blatt’s firing may have been the most surprising thing to happen in the NBA all season. Everyone expected the Lakers to be bad, the Cavs to be good, and the Warriors to be great. But the firing of David Blatt seemed to come out of nowhere and many coaches around the NBA were very surprised.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was among the many coaches asked about the firing of Blatt soon after the news broke out and the league began reacting to it.

On Monday night after getting blown out by the Golden State Warriors in what was supposed to be one of the biggest games of the year, Coach Pop reacted to the loss and took a comical shot at the Cavs in the process.
Popovich: "I'm glad my general manager wasn't in my locker room or I might've gotten fired."

Blatt’s firing came just days after losing by 34 to the Warriors in Cleveland, which is why Pop was making that joke now after the Spurs lost 90-120.
