After defeating the Miami Heat on Friday night for their third win in a row, the Cavs may be drastically shorthanded against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.

According to Sam Amico of AmicoHoops.net, coach Tyronn Lue could opt to sit out LeBron James on the second-end of a back-to-back set.

“As far as health-wise, I’m able to go, but Coach and the training staff have some type of program about me and I’ll go with whatever they say,” James said after the Cavs’ win over the Heat on Friday.

The Cavs sit atop the Eastern Conference at 16-5 and they’ll host the 14-9 Hornets. Aside from James, J.R. Smith is highly unlikely to play tonight and Amico speculates that Love could sit out as well. Love was a game-time decision in lat night’s game due to back-spasms, and sitting him out makes sense.
