The Cleveland Cavaliers have begun their final day of the NBA regular season with a spalsh, as they have filled their final roster slot by signing 6′-6″ free agent Shooting Guard/ Small Forward Dahntay Jones.

Jones played 43 games with the Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA D-League, averaging 15.7 points on 54.6% from the field, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 35.7 minutes.

Jones has 11 years in the books for his career and a total of 622 games. He was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2003 draft by the Boston Celtics. Primarily known for his defense, Jones has played with several NBA teams and has averaged 5.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists for his career. In addition, Jones also has 49 games in playoff experience, including 16 as a starter for the 2008-09 Denver Nuggets. He’ll be wearing number 30 for the Cavs and is eligible for the playoff push.
